Caller ID Name

When your business calls a customer, what shows up on their phone? That's CNAM. Set it well, get answered more often.

Where to set it

Settings → Telephony. Each active number has a CNAM field — the display name (up to 15 characters) broadcast to the receiving carrier.

Reality check

Carriers don't all honor CNAM the same way. Most major US carriers use it on outbound calls. A few still use their own caller-ID lookup database — there's nothing we can do about that.

Don't get flagged as spam

If your number is getting tagged "Scam Likely" or "Potential Spam," that's a separate problem — STIR/SHAKEN attestation, call patterns, or a third-party labeling service. Open Settings → Telephony → Provider Debugger to see the most recent attestation level. Persistent flagging? File a remediation request — we have docs for that.
